He changed so quickly
Out of that bland disguise!
With a feral glare, the demonic wolf
Leaped from its human skin.
It sang to the night,
Nature's redness in tooth and claw,
Gray and fierce and free.

I decided to take the association with Halloween back a step to make it a bit more interesting... hopefully, at least. 
This is my first acrostic. It was a fun interlude.
