dry your tears
silence your voice
abandon your fears
dismiss the pain
forget the scene
your just our pawn
you are unseen
turn your head
and look away
to your opinion
we will not sway
disregard the blood
on your weak hands
it is your duty
so listen to commands
close your eyes
chop each one down
it takes less muscles
to smile than to frown
neglect the pleas
for aid and salvation
or be another casualty
a strange deviation
omit your tears
that silence your voice
it's not our fault
this was your choice
Author notes
hmmm. i am rustyyyyy. i havent been on here in forever. andfor that i apologize. i have been drawing recently instead of writing. but i will make the effort to write waaaaay more often.
anyways onto the poem. this is yet another angsty media one... but i based it off of the saying ignorance is bliss. ... because i just don't think it is. becuase... you can't be idgorant forever can you? so anyways in todays poem, some poor sucker realizes he should have spoken up before he ended up in this situation.
have fun!

Love it, this was pure greatness. I especially the second stanza. Definitely dig the elaboration of terms by reclarifying in different, stronger words as you progress through the stanza's lines. This one was just pure great.
Bravo,
Silvos.
