Gone, to a place among the stars
To be happy, forever
To leave us all behind
Some part of me hopes
Some part of me dreams
That some day she will come back
But I know that she won't
There is one thing I need to say
But I can't
For saying it would admit
That you are gone, forever
Every time I close my eyes
I see your face, your smile
But as soon as I look again
Your gone, like a vapour on the wind
Everywhere I look
I see a little piece of you
But when I look closer
Your gone, like a wave on the sand
Its time to say goodbye
But I can't
The one word sticks to my throat
Like a burning hot coal
I love you, I miss you
I say those easily enough
But goodbye? No
I cannot let you go
Its been six months now
Since you left me, left us
But I see you everywhere
You haunt me
Your shadow on the pavement
Your eyes in the moonlight
Your smile through the darkness
I see you, I hear you
But I have to let you go
Let you be free, released
I will miss you, forever
But its time to say goodbye

Goodbyes have always been difficult for me, specially when a person leaves us forever. this is heartfelt and well penned. Lot of emotion. I hope you find your peace and be healed in time.
