Along the smooth cement is a lag bolt
it lags the two by six snug,
as construction onward grows
in sure rhythm to radio's sounding flow,
covered in plaster board, rain cries
allowed never to enter the comforts,
comforts cozy inside a snuggled home
hours of labor bring smiles once done,
shingles overlapped and barrier set
weather lost its war to insulation tight,
held together by mere steel nails,
to a dream home, we feel absolutely safe

Hello!
O what it must feel like to live in a home in which you feel absolutely safe - would you care to come build mine?
The structure, visual layout, and tone of this poem is gentle and calming - safe. The words themselves are not harsh or rough, and they lend to your theme quite readily. Lovely job, and thanks for entering!
