Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End (Poetic Collage)

The leaves that drift on the early breeze
Are torn from the notebook of a child's joy

Like some sweet music from a dream

I am that which is not yet
And that which has always been

I shall love you 'til all stars shine dark,
'Till all time comes to bitter end,
Until mountains crumble to the sea,
And narry a river shall bend

His translucent wings are old,
He will not fly today

I am the Damask blade that can survive
Any heat or hurt you can devise

The rain is falling as soft as dreams
While our dancing souls silent music weave

The water laps about the shore,
Caressing the reeds that harken there -
The lake, she loves the earth that grows
With yellow petals in his hair

As their two souls now are plaited

Bagpipes crewn intae nite's thin air
Callin' a tarten out a' ev'ry stair

Yet she cannot wash away the stain
Within her storm cloud eyes

He woos her as the milkweed courts the Monarch child

My laughter is tears that cannot be bold

Ye'are beloov'd o' teh sweetest nite,
Fer ye'are ev'ry star's bret an' lite

Oh, Fate, dear Fate, now I do see,
Your work is like a seedling tree

Clear as crystal that cannot weep

Then give me sage and rosemary
And tell me that I'm savory, not sweet

For when he lifts her from the ground,
He lifts her soul much higher

Hearts in love are captured things
Like a ripple in the reeds

I need you as the heart needs laughter,
Far more than the soul needs joy

Pass over the slights to my mortal soul,
If you'll forgive my literary sins

Your scent is on a rosemary breath
That sweetly twists my hair in curls

I am that which makes dreams breathe
And emboldens paramours

And on her lips he placed a kiss
That was more like a vow

He smells of sunbeams and campfires

Your kisses are sticky with marshmallow whisps

I am the light and the dark of the matter;
I am freedom and the ties that bind

I'll not be the monster who falls in love
And is destroyed by her human feelings,
For I shall walk this Glory Road of love,
Be there rocks a'plenty or none at all

As you dying men whose eyes do still ope,
Straining for the light of a guiding star

Ci è una serenità dolce
In ogni momento ha trovato con lui
{There is a sweet serenity
In each moment found with him}

Whispers on a zephyred breath,
On the lips of night-birds chirruping

Sunlight kaleidoscopes through the branches,
Dancing, tripping, over crystalline water

And the phoenix, his sovereign queen,
To his songs, her words do melt and flow,
Warming the winter winds that blow -
No love fairer shall e'er be seen

Can you feel my heartbeat in your sighs

Searching for answers in their puzzle-well,
Pleading for the knowledge of that enigma, Love:
"Listen to the silver tintinnabulation..."

Her joy floated on iridescent dreams

Floating soft on a muse of love

I'll spin you a starlit yarn
And weave you a moonbeam tale

Who would dare gaze in the Valkyrie's eyes,
What man would brave the ocean tides found there,
Dream, defy to dream, her iron breast be soft?

The cattail courts the water lily white,
If he but knew 'twas he she dreamt at dusk,
Gazing from far upon his starry light,
Courting him in peace, with but eyes and breath

"For this Valentine bunch of herbs so sweet -
For rosemary and thyme - my heart is thine;
And our sav'ry souls forever shall meet..."

The willow tree is weeping ice

I shall be thy knight
With golden waves cascading
I shall be thy knight
And thy lady, waiting

Faerie-flakes fall softly
As we waltz inside the woods
Wite stars of magic
Glittering in his tawny hair

The wind is still and the stars are bright,
Snow burns pure for lovers tonight

Silver, like an angel's feather

Tiny faerie wings of satin white

Yet mayhap the butterfly does not know
These giggling wonders of the milkweed
Are produced his smile for to show

Stars burn bright in the lake above us,
For we are treading softly in the sky

Licorice and clove tint the air
Their love is spicy blue

And 'neath the Sakura tree
My love and I shall stroll
As autumn bears her fruit to see
The love that she has told

His kiss is bliss, an angels wing

Our hearts melding, white-hot iron
Just removed from a forge
Bending, shaping, tempered
With love, that safron passion
From which we draw our souls

The milkweed seeds are falling
Drifting through the down
The blackthorn is smiling
Upon a loving pair

Iridescent skirts of faeries
Catch in his beard and hair

It is but the forgotten gods who die,
Who lay eternal, unmourned, in dusty tomes

Autumn leaves flutter
Like kaleidoscopic memory
Trying for the sky

She was jewel-weed
With touch-me-not seeds

A seraph descened from on high
Just to hold her in his arms

The fife calls to her in dreams
Lulling her to wakefull sleep
'Tis the tabor calling
For this love she holds brings war

She walks in grace like falling Autumn leaves,
Floating in through a misty morning fog

One cannot love only Bonny Kate or Kate the Shrew
One must love both to love me true

A seer's eye does no good,
For the future is ever-changing,
Ever-twisting, turning
What was true of yesterday's future
May not be true of tomorrow's

A gossamer wing pirouettes to land
Lying, hopeless, in the grass
A piece of shredded Monarch
Floating from my palm

A lifetime of moments
But moments just the same

Dream me back, dearest,
So I may hold you close again

And he's forever beside me
In this midnight garden
Of Salvation and Sin

Her heart, seemingly still
Now keeps cadence once again

Meet me at the fire-ring
Beside your lover's lake
For of my heart, I shall give,
If only you shall take
