The caustic gourmet
attracted clocks to open their keyhole appetites
and spread for bedtime
before swallowing elegance
and spooning upon pillows peppered in the orient’s sensualism.

Word play!
These words have a strong sexual overtone that play well to a man's 'appetite'.

-
I love how you intertwined the dining and sexual experience. Pocketing the conclusion into the title was genius if that is what you were doing, or rather I appreciated the backdrop of meaning
Filled with perplexity as usual! Wonderful write!

yes, using the conclusion in the title is a technique I used to use often years ago, found it highly effective but yet have strayed away from it for some odd reason. Maybe it is time for to reintegrate it. Thanx, so glad you enjoyed, you are always such a ray of sunshine.

I like the way you have woven this together without many other words
interesting proposition with clocks being tempted - I always thought that they were steadfast little things
thank you for this entry!
Keep writing

LOL just word play, not based on any real experience other than an almost when I was working as a chef for some sickening yuppie ranch down south.
