you’re smart and you’re beautiful
inside and out, you glow
with spunk and luck and goodness

you’re past 70 now, so what
you’ve not slowed much through the years
just jump on your bike or your roller skates
take a tumble while you hold back the tears
a mother, a grandma, you fit the bill
giving hugs and kisses galore
surrounded by family and friends
who could ask for anything more
you’re a pal, a comrade, a friend
an exceptional woman by far
but you’re the one and only gal
