Kali karma,
Kama Kali
dancing upon Maya,
even as her husband’s corpse
absorbs her
dervish dancing,
in the wilderness
where light dies,
in the dark beyond dualities.
Drunk upon the wine
of battle-blood,
severing skulls like
ego-illusions. Madness
personified, she will
dance upon the
ignorance of bones
and render them
meal and dust again.
Author notes
Kali is the consort/wife of Lord Shiva. She dances upon illusion in battle's ecstasy
in the war against falsehood and illusion.

Nice piece. Was contemplating getting a Kali tattoo at one point but then I realized I am already freak enough as it is.
Also, a small note. I'm no expert, but most of what you will find about hierarchies and consorts is based on Vaishnava; as far as the more hardcore devotees of Kali are concerned she is nothing less than Ultimate Reality. Some cults look at Kali as being an incarnation of Durga, some as Shiva. I don't know... Hindus are a mess.

I LOVE HER
I want to be her...lol.
Your Kali reminds me of Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of war, Hathor's darker days
.
She was tricked into getting extremely drunk on beer that was made to look like battle blood.
She became sweet while she was drunk, and changed into Hathor, a benevolent goddess.
Well done, she's wonderful.
Best of luck in this contest, and much love to you
.
