Saving Me

I have traveled the world I have seen many sights
I've spent time at war and endured lonely nights
Kill or be killed was my mission at war
I've seen every evil, can I feel anymore?
My heart became hallow and my soul is suppressed
I long for that moment that can take my last breath

I returned home empty, just a vessel of death
Along came this angel and sparks jumped from my chest
My heart began to beat and my palms begin to sweat
She found something in me when I had nothing left
Her eyes were like clouds her skin was like silk
My world used to lay flat but she made it all tilt

I held her as she slept in her most peaceful state
What brought us together? Who tampered with fate?
I was destined to die on the battlefield alone
But she saved me from solitude and gave me a home
I feel so alive and so deeply in love
She is my angel, my savior, my dove

I learned a great lesson no matter what you've been taught
It's not about the past or the battles you fought
I will love her forever until the end of my days
Its not the times that I breathe
But the moments that take my breath away

Aww that's so sweet! That ending is just so true too! It's not the times we breathe but the moments that take our breath away that we should remember!
