Lengthening Shadows

poetry gave her today
what appeared lost yesterday;

silken-wrapped inward
toted in her satchel;
brimming full of emotion.

it leaks from ripped stitching--
onto cement sidewalks
and follows her around.

a shadow of expression--
lengthening with life's journey,

widening with lessons learned
along the way...

    I love the first lines here, they speak to and from my spirit. Then, the poem carries the reader on a journey that ends in "lessons learned".

    Breathtaking and surreal!

    You have given such beauty to the words I had written by adding yours well chosen, eloquently writtenwords. I love this! Thank you so much for collaborating with me. The best to you in the challenge. Simply Beautiful!

    Much Love ♥
