Love is a thing of tomorrow.
Poetry gave her today;
Silken-wrapped inward,
Her heart is a coveted gift,
Toted in her satchel.
Like a palette of liquid prisms,
It leaks from ripped stitching
Onto cement sidewalks
Leaving pools of crystal rainbows,
And follows her around,
Waiting for someone to get lost in its beauty.
