Casted away like an iron shield
Another worried wall dissapoints a few
Falling brick by brick to make way for the new
Evolution declined to a jig-saw level
Ten foot trees to ants like people to the seas
Underground voyages with seven holding the key
Searching for the roots as if information were free
I'm just an average guy
With four faces on every side
And when I take the subway to work
I find a place to hide
And in a digital atmosphere
I'm just a better kinda guy
Back in the charred flat
My walls tell me to die
With open wounds scabbing over my window
The layers fold over every day
A book that gets harder and harder to open
A slow reader never learned the rules
Just an ape who never picked up a tool
De-organized and scrambled like an unsafe lock
Dead people working twice around a clock
Who has energy these days?
I think I'll just disobey
