Taken by sweet romance,
loving words that fill the days,
little gifts to touch the heart,
affections shown in so many ways.
Strolls in the springtime parks,
evenings of fiery sunsets,
the warmth of hands that hold you,
believing this is as good as it gets.
When tragedy strikes,
taking a life to steal,
you find now there is nothing left,
and you no longer know what’s real.

this poem blew me away.. this is powerful in its imagery and emotions.. so sad, tugs on the heart strings and hits it hard. very powerful and thought provoking this is.
