Here they are, Bob and Betty.
They have made their first winter run.
Two new birds who left the North behind.
Fighting the cold for many years.
Waiting for those retirement years.
They did factory work the whole time.
Doing assembly work, on the line
Six in the morning, always on time.
Working till three or four.
Enough of that -- No More.
They waited their whole life,
For the days of the winter sun.
Now out on the beach for a little fun.
Trying a little walk in the sun.
There is a scramble as everybody is on the run.
Are there sharks in the water?
Hey Stop! What is going on?
We came to have a good time, same to you.
We are just under-exposed.
We have never been in the sun.
