respite

In a hold fit for the ages
you wrap silence and light
around my fevered mind.
A blessed stop,
all madness ceased and
in the white blank,
you are my only sight.
A sight for the sorest,
poorest of eyes;
but if they should only ever
rest on you for each of
my remaining days,
those days will be
the fullest
of all.

    Likey

    you really are very good, but I think you are aware of this, and so you should be. Loved the 'sorest, porest of eyes' and 'you wrap silence and light around my fevered mind'. Thank you x

      Thanks I think I'm OK at this lark, but 'very good' is always nice to hear - will return the favour when I'm able x
