Terrified of falling, and hesitant to hurt
Wishing she knew what forever was for
So nervous around you and so unsure why
To many questions and not enough time
The whole time you laughed and every word you spoke
Was gently prodding her until..oops
She tripped
Before She had a chance to straighten herself out
And figure out her heart
You pushed and...oops
She fell
Then you began to get bored by the little girl
So willing to do for you
And that killed the thrill
Kissed her bestfriend, decided she was alot better
Held her hand and let the little girl see
Your way of saying its over
And yeah lets be friends
And then..oops
She cried
You saw her tears and ran right back
Only to find her cynical and jaded
Teased her endlessly and tried to make her smile
Tried so hard to get that devotion
The undying love to return
The giggle and smile and late night talks
Making her feel like the only one
And after a month or so..oops
She stumbled..and caught herself
Author notes
hm kinda feelin the romance theme tonight lol

Really great write! The only little thing being the 'to' to a 'too' in line 4, first stanza. I really like the voice behind this, and I can totally identify with having a dummy significant other who does things, and you don't learn the first time around. Gotta put in strength for yourself, like you seem to say.
Thanks for entering! Best of luck in the contest

Wow!! This poem is absolutely amazing. You did a fabulous job with this piece. God bless you always my poetic friend in everything you do and write. Keep up the excellent work and best wishes to you in the contest. I hope you win. So many times this happens that it's kind of messed up. Why can't 2 people just be faithful anymore?
