2:1

Two paths to choose, one path to walk, which one is mine?

I look left for an answer, seeing all that I have now,
Misery, agony, love and trust, compassion, pain, self-torn
The life of a trade and accompanied by fellow traders.

Looking to the right, I see the unsure to have,
Joy? Misery? Love? self-torn? Emotion?
The unsure life of no trade or both.

My heart belongs to the left, my heart longs for the right.
Memories flare up in the left, black shows up in the right.
I want the right and not the left, but I can't give it up.

I snap back to reality, two paths to choose, one path to walk upon..
Do I go left and continue on unhappily?
Or do I go right and see what is in store both known and not?

Author notes

This poem is supposed to reflect some inner conflict...but is also not finished, my path isn't known yet :/
