Mania

She pirouetted about the room,
my eyes wide She captured my attention with ease
my sanity was within her hands and with her every leap
i felt it slipping,
She grinned manically as She flung herself within my sight
crazed eyes gleaming as She stretched my sense,

'Are we mad yet?'

Her fervent whisper echoed unbearably around,
bouncing across the white terrain and becoming multiple voices
each one barraging my mind

'Are we mad yet?'

She laughed shrilly, delighting in the chaos
i gripped my head in pain, striving to clutch on to my reason,
falling to the floor i cried out

She instantly was upon me and i felt her talons dig into me,
She dragged me up,
her eyes gleaming ferociously
her prey was weakening

within her grip i danced,
my feet burned and i longed to be free
but She bared her teeth in a laugh
and i spinned chaotically

i cried out to God
She shrieked mockingly at my piety
gripped me and spun me
until my sanity had been long forgotten

'Are we mad yet?'
