black rose disappear

shriveling away to what was
this tale of evolution is played in rewind
and soon there's nothing but an ameba
just wallowing in itself

but the wind pushed it far away
flying throught the air
sand hitting its every being
and soon it lands among the field

there it simmers below the sun
the only salvation a rose
a rose so bright and full
shielding it from all harm

the rose soon grows old
it soon becomes nothing but a black crisp
with all its essence gone away with time
leaving its child to wither away

but wind blows once more
and this being is thrust again
memories of pain cause resistance
all that's left is giving up

out of nowhere came another rose
a semblance of another caused fear within
but the rose stayed by the being
and it flourished again

so quickly evolution revived
as another rose grew from a shell
to bask in the sunlight that once haunted it
aside another with petals so smooth
