One Step at a Time

Listening to the radio
on my way to school
I hear these words and
I begin to hum along.

I dont know the words
never heard it before
but before i knew it
I was singing to the course.

"take one step at a time
there's no need to rush,
Its like learning to fly
or falling in love."

I sang those words
and my heart jumped,
i could swear
she was singing to me.

I've been stressed
I will admit,
PSAT, Homework, Work,School, the Gym,
around and around my life went.

No time for myself,
no time to think,
I kept on going
not knowing when to quit.

"When we cant wait any longer
and there's no end in sight
Its your faith that makes you stronger
the only way to get there is one step at a time."

Now when I hear that song
I drop all that I'm doing
no matter how important it is,
even for my future.

The stress unwinds from my body
a smile brightens my face.
I begin to sing along
and starting going about it all alittle bit slower.
