Growing Old in remotness

Best years of our life lost away from each other
How far beyond would we go farther?
Racing, laboring, struggling, we suffer.
How much more would it get tougher?
Negligent and disheartened succumbing to desperation,
Occasionally waking up on a glimpse of hope,
That one-day we will flee it all and together elope,
Cherishing our once upon a time hopeless union,
We will cheer love, living, the beloved and our reunion,
Hustling and drained, but together we are strong
With unwavering faith, a big heart, burning flare for life,
We can never go wrong.

It has not worked so far, I did my best, but I guess strong feelings were my own not the other side's unfortunately.

    Lovely Words From The Heart

Such an emotional poem . I can relate to your pain of being away from the man you love, although mine is because of a different circumstance. You capture the loneliness and longing of the heart perfectly in your words. So glad I stopped by to read this very heartfelt poem.

    Take Care, Sandy

My dear Erica Thank you so much for reading it and commenting

yes that is what I feel I have been experiencing and will experience all along my life if not almost everyone else with such fast tempo and hard life that we cannot cater to our needs or unite with our beloved ones, whether nearby you or far away, there is that remotness and distance created no matter what we do as we are tired, are emotions suffer, minds and souls suffer so much and are tired that they wouldnt dare venture and unite to the beloved, instead remain in that viscious circle forever.
      Sad I feel!

thank you so much my dear
