Trapped forever in this jar,
i've never been able to get very far.
The sands of time continue to flow,
but i have nowhere to go.
You tell me to wait, that you'll save me soon,
but every minute brings, impending doom.
Every second brings me closer to death,
right till the time when i have nothing left.
Please come soon and save me,
from this life of misery.

This reminds me of a butterfly. Perhaps, an outlook on how a butterfly feels when a human tries to capture it's beauty. But, I know you weren't aiming for that. I understand this, because I've felt it quite often myself. It's unfortunate. I hope you get out of this rut

This is very done well.
Told to wait for something I'm expecting someone you love or a person you wish to be with. And it's eating you up inside not knowing how long to wait. Where, why?
Wonderful.
