This needs to stop today!

I can't really understand
how horribly abused children feel
all I know is i wanna make a difference
cuz i have endured a little of how they feel

I am tired of hearing posts
or horrid stories on the news
about children being abused and beaten
against the parents they always lose

Somehow this needs to stop
this isn't how it should have to be
and it should take one more death
to make all of society see

I don't know what to say
I don't know what to do that will matter
all i know is this can't go on
and let innocent child be beat and battered

As the tears run down my face
and want so much to stop this now
I wish i had the answers
but I don't when or how

To stop these kid's suffering
i wanna take away their pain
cuz none of this is their fault
and child abuse isn't fun or games

So I want to shout to the world
stand up and say
reach out to those children
and help them to live another day

Don't turn a blind eye
Cuz that doesn't help anyone I know for sure
Give that child a better life
One without abuse, cuz that's all they would ever ask for
