Gently the Earth Breathed

Gently the earth breathed and a breeze it blew
It greets everyone it meets with a whispering clue
It Weaves through the trees touching all but few
It's effect's are affectionate, calming, and cool
It embraces like a dream, a memory, or my favorite tune
Invoking insight to invite an alternate truth
Planting hope inside me and than igniting the fuse
As I drift being lifted by thoughts induced
By this relaxing day I could not refute
Captivated I gaze upon this life as I knew
The sun shining brilliant, I can see deeply my hue
Shimmering faintly, an image, in an Ora of blue
I blink, it blazes, as it entirely consumes
Blinded momentarily but than clarity resumes
Beauty softly embraces intoxicated I swoon
In awe I surrender so sacred this view
A glimpse of my soul overwhelming it looms
A world of wonders reflecting from the mornings dew
Surroundings so still, nothing daring to move
A leafs peaceful descent over water it flew
Nearing it's reflection, in the center of the pool
Meeting itself as the mirror ripples askew
The tiniest disturbance grows
Silence it speaks louder it grew

Author notes

This poem is about one of those perfect spring or early summer days where it's hot out but the breeze hits just right and how it can just make you content with everything in life, can comfort you like a favorite song, or help a realization come to the surface
