Love is near impossible to find, as we're destined for only
One that's unwaveringly true and
Very often we find ourselves staring
Ever long at someone who is simply not... right
I have graced this path, it's
So sunlit and deceiving.
And I believed in the false beauty.
Keys to the heart are so hard to
Imagine, and so many
Look the same, but for every
Lifetime there is only one that fits, and
Eventually wrong keys, forced in, will rust and
Ripping them out damages the heart
A wound will be inflicted, but
Never can an open wound remain
Day after day, and it will heal.
A scar will always remain
Scars are easily ignored
And thrust outward from the mind
Very quickly, but only
If true love is found, and
Only if the key unlocks the heart,
Ready to accept the long awaited entrance of true love...

A truly beautiful piece, from beginning to end. The fact that it is an acrostic and I caught it before I got to your notes, is great. Thank you very much for entering my contest, it was a pleasure to read and thanks for sharing it with all of us.
