She's tried just about everything.
But he's going back to what he has been.
The words sound all to familiar.
She recognizes the coldness in his eyes.
Seems like forgiveness didn't get her very far.
So what do you do, when you can't move?
You tried to make him a better man.
Attempted to ease the pain from his life.
But, now he's creating heartache in yours.
While his words and actions cut like a knife.
What do you say now, when your speechless?
You gave, what he didn't give back.
The more you cry, the worse you feel.
You almost wish he would walk away tonight.
While inside you tell yourself, "This can't be real."
I've tried just about everything..
There is nothing more to do.

been there
i did this to the girl i loved for a time. we still love each other but are not together and probably never will be. i needed to grow up and realize how valuable what we had was. i took it all for granted and now shes gone. i like the last line.
