~MaybeThen~

(music enhanced)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How do you mend a broken heart
that seems so irrevocably distraught?
By what means can one hope to achieve
what seems impossible, when the soul
is tormented in grievous distress?
For whom shall such exoneration
take place, and in what fashion can
it possibly atone in mending a
sorrowful heart, crushed beneath the
weight of it's own misery?  With
its every beat, comes a pain so deep
that it reverberates with propensity,
and with it, a consuming deluge of
tears falling like great waters that
crest and rise, only to plummet
over the brink of an abyss into
the unknown.
Oh,
the pain that makes life seem so
unbearable is relentless in its
vice like grip.  Shall the sun
ever shine again and will its warming
rays ever kiss the cheeks of the
forlorn?  Is it possible for one
to breath again without the
excruciating pain of the dagger
plunged oh so deep? Perhaps
tomorrow, maybe then,.....
~Maybe.~
    Lovely arrangement and I love the ending hope. You do feel such a despair that you think it will never go away, and for some it doesn't, but for many it does. Great poem, thank you for entering the contest. Good luck.
    Thank you for entering this contest. Iread it with and without the music playing and fornd the music just a little distracting. I loved the pictures you chose, I have the bottom one in my own collection of pics ( I love ROYO'S artwork ) altho mine doesn't have the glittery additions. Any way I like your piece a lot.
