There’s still so much you don’t know,
No matter how much you see.
Now that you know about my scars,
Can you love this part of me?
You say that you love me,
You say that you care,
But when I need you most,
I still feel like you aren’t there.
So now I’ve opened up to you,
And you are the only one I’ve opened up to.
So now you have to make the promise
That you won’t let anyone know.
If someone finds out and my life is destroyed,
I’ll have to go.
I hope you really care for me,
And I hope you really love me.
Because without your friendship,
I don’t know where I’d be.
No matter how much you see.
Now that you know about my scars,
Can you love this part of me?
You say that you love me,
You say that you care,
But when I need you most,
I still feel like you aren’t there.
So now I’ve opened up to you,
And you are the only one I’ve opened up to.
So now you have to make the promise
That you won’t let anyone know.
If someone finds out and my life is destroyed,
I’ll have to go.
I hope you really care for me,
And I hope you really love me.
Because without your friendship,
I don’t know where I’d be.
Author notes
Woooooooow, this is old! It's a poem I found attached to a letter I wrote once, and I just had to post it...so here it is! Viola! It's sucky, I know. But I was a rather sucky poetry writer last year as a frosh....silly froshiness!
Comment please!
