In the mirror,
I see a woman who hides the scars of her life.
She pretends her nights are not riddled with nightmares,
She covers her broken soul behind a plastic smile.
She laughs so beautifullly so she does not cry so shamefully.
She is crushed and screaming, but no one cares to notice.
In the mirror,
Stares a girl that shakes with uncertanity.
Abandonment marks her life, like the cuts mark her skin.
She clings desperately to any savior,
And is dropped quickly by every false idol.
She is broken and bleeding, but no one cares to notice.
In the mirror,
cries a helpless child,
Whose eyes are wide with fright as darkness closes in.
She gropes for a hand, but is met only by violence.
The red-eyed monster sinks stinging claws into her innocence.
She is alone and scared, but no one cares to notice.
