Shepherd's Folly (Reply to "The Passionate Shepherd to his Love," Marlowe)

Thy shepherd's tongue doth lie in wait.
A tempting proposition,
But thou mind is boyish
And doth not desire
What women desire themselves.

We dream the watching of feeding sheep
And the harmonies of the birds,
But thou doth not need
To sparkle our dreams
With coral and amber and gold.

Not once make you mention
Of love you'll return,
Only the physical items
That soon will decay.

Women desire the strength of a man
That can provide them with what only they'll need.
And men not need cover up with pretty gems.
The love they return will show it.

Our pleasure in simple necessities
Gives strength to weaker men.
Thou doth not need promise pretty lies.
We expect only what's in thou heart.

We desire the love
Our true love can give us.
And when thou has discovered truth in thy lies
I shall live with thou and be thy love.

Makes a lot of sense, huh?
The truth isn't all too painful
    when you have enough band-aides.

    Why the older-speak?
    I am just curious.

    Not bad.
    thank you .
    goodluck.

Prompt one. I put everything in the author's notes that you asked for, but I don't know why it didn't show up. I'll go edit it again for you. Sorry about that.
