I know a girl with a lot of talent but she’s too afraid to show the world.
I know a girl who aged a lot faster than she should have.
She’s just fifteen but has a lifetime of knowledge
about the world and it’s pain.
She has big beautiful brown eyes
with hourglasses within them,
that count down the days until she’ll be hurt again.
She sleeps with many stuffed animals
because they hold tears better than buckets
and they can never disagree.
Music is not just a relaxant,
but a fail-safe drug that keeps
her world running as smoothly as clockworks,
she gets cold too easily
but still runs in the rain
just to make sure she can still feel
the rain falling around her.
this girl is my best friend,
she’s the yin to my yang
and the one who’ll never let me down
even if she thinks that she lets people down too easily.
she’s always there to please
and her smile soon develops
it’s own personality,
and she’s no longer alone.
