Pretending I'm happy for you
Making everyone think everything is okay
They think that, even if its not true
Because when the lights go out
Everone goes away
And I can no longer lie to myself
While watching my life in disarray
You dont want people to know
that inside we are broken
And hiding it has worked so far
Because the way I feel is left unspoken
Its always got to be about you
I am always pretending to be something I'm not
If they only knew the truth
But I cant lose you, your all that I've got
This is why I dont say a thing
I just paint this smile on and hold my head up high
Making everyone believe we are doing okay
Living this life is nothing but a lie
