Wrapped in the shield of miracle
is healing not by chance
and angels who spin 'round about
with every circumstance
Elixir balm to soothe the pain
and wipe all fears away
For friendly words are ever heard
with lovely things to say
We hold you up to heavens high
and ask the Lord above
to give you comfort constantly
in flood waters of love
So sister dear, I am sincere
in prayer that lifts you now
I know that you're already blessed
and I know you know how
Author notes
I pray that you are strengthened and healing happens in God's time and yours.

Congratulations on the silver. I would have won except my poem sucked. Is that any excuse not to vote for me?

I think this should be whispered softly to match the words.
It's really beautiful.

This is so universal in the words....and yet also so personal. Beautiful prayer Renee.

This is really something we need to hear when feeling ill.
A lovely prayer that has a special warmth that comes from the heart.
The lines flow so nicely with the rhymes you used here making the message of best wish read even more beautiful.
Big hugs and love,
Mari

Jenelda said it perfectly, it was a beautiful prayer, with the subtlety that the moment required. It looks like your prayers were answered for the last I heard Edna was doing better (besides the ankle.)

-

Beautiful and tender
Thank you for joining us Renee, you have added to the wishes with your wonderful style and generosity. I love this image, "give you comfort constantly
in flood waters of love". Constantly!
The verse is perfectly lovely, I would not change a thing.

Dear Renee, A beautiful prayer for Edna.
I have seen her ankle bad, but not as bad as it seems to be now, she's always had relief from it before, so I hope they operate on it soon.

WHAT A LOVELY PRAYER

-
"...angels who spin 'round about..."
Oh, what an image to cheer one on,
shimmery angel wings spinning and turning
to attend to one's needs!
Perfect!

Dear Renee,
Thankyou for entering these words of prayer, comfort and healing in our contest.
I am printing out all these 'get-well' messages for Edna who is keeping them in a special folder which I've given her. I can assure you that they are all giving her much pleasure and are deeply appreciated.
