Sittin her a watchin the tube,
and I found myself not too mused.
Couldn't believe what I was a hearing,
and how this here world was gearen.
Wy they said they gave trillions to the thieves,
and I sat up on the edge of the couch and yelled
what about me!
They said the next day they gave them more!
And I got so flabergasted I fell right off on the floor.
Galdernit they done it again!
robbed us blind and then said it was to mend.
Told me I would have to pay it back!
But goshdarnet I aint got nothin left in my stash.
I never made enough to have one of those 401k's,
what the tarnation is that anyways.
Looks like me and Ma's gonna have to knuckle down,
and believe you me I got plenty to say should they come around.
Their having facials while we eat tatters and beans,
makes a working man mighty mean.
Their getting swuanas and massages while I work three jobs,
and seems like I just got robbed.
Dont know if you noticed but I thought that was against the law,
To steel from us poor folks and strip us of our jobs.
Sure they think it all right, smells like a rose,
why not their the ones with all the dough.
Now Im normally a peaceful man,
tend to my own business and my own land.
But I just got pick pocketed by the ones on top,
and sit still brother this old boys not.
I will tend to my family for they always come first,
and not a dime will go to another "no sir".
Ifn I have any left then it will be divied out,
and if anyone complains their share I will take them out of my hat right now.
It dont take a college education to know when youve been screwed ,
And I sure dont need to be told by some slighe fools.
How to care for my family and dont you agree?

LOL!!! I can't help but to chuckle at the way your 'language' was in the poem. The even funnier thing is, I could picture a few older folks sitting around in their chairs just b*tchin about the world these days. Ya' know, the ones from the olden days, rustic clothing, teeth all but falling out. It's amazing how words can make you see!!

Good lordy here I thought I'd never see someone bold enough to speak up on that one again. Can't understand why so many people just don't seem to grasp that one. Is it just a lack of the oxymoron named common sense, or is it the refusal to see things for how they really are? The humor comes in at all the right places and makes it entertaining and real and the rhyme was some mighty fine frosting on an already fabulous cake.

BAIL ME OUT! I love this piece...I got some debt no where near what these folks in this corporations got but no there is no one to bail me out. Shit I gotta pay my car note every month or they gon repo the son bitch!

Well said! I call it a 'hand-out' myself, because that's basically what the taxpayers did - hand out more money! I feel it should have been treated the same way the working man is - if you can't pay your bills, you lose it! And why didn't they have to sell everything they owned to pay off some of the debt???? and THEN they all celebrated at a VERY expensive resort!!!

Seems when I read it on a feed line it was cutting some of the poems off. Glad I came back to look. I started to correct spelling but see that was for the effect. It pretty much sums up todays times and in a language many understand. But if I may, this part needs one word added and I have never suggested such before, but here: some slighe fools needs a word of profanity...lol Keep penning. Rose
