All silence has a heartbeat,
stop and be still.
From your own pounding rhythm of life,
to the world breathing at will.
One can learn so much,
as you set silent in time.
Listening is the greatest teacher,
I know its been mine.
For to close your mind to thoughts,
and open to life about.
You will hear things such as love and hate,
and the direction of the world now.
You wont hear the laughter of children,
but you will see their tears.
From sad little eyes that quickly looks away,
abused for so many years.
Did you listen and hear their cries,
as her fragile little body walks by?
Did you hear the parents uncaring ways,
where hate is taught every day?
Silence my most treasured moments of life,
brings to me the muses of reallity thats right.
For when you shut yourself down and tune yourself in,
it's a sadness today that surounds us with such sadness within.
Each and every person you can read like a book today,
some of them their visual secrets made me shake.
The violence within this heartbeat is growing as we speak,
but the world refuses to listen but wait and see.
For today through all of the confusion darkness grows ,
our world only tells you what they want you to know.
Have you taken the time to really listen indeed,
or are you one of the ones planting hates seed.

Believe me should you take the time just once you will truly be amazed at all we have missed by not listening along the way . Please I beg of you to try this and then let me know how this world has changed that you didnt know

WOW this is powerful and so true too, the world is way too noisy and any animal will tell you that
i think i like the first line best of all the lines but the part about the kids made me teary, theres so much hate in the world but theres good too

One should take the time often to just sit back and listen to the world around them. If around people you will see and feel all of the sadness and pain and heartache that is theirs. If alone in nature you feel and see all of the beauty of the world as the Lord meant it should be.

I love the 3rd stanza. It is beautiful, compelling, and indescribable. The focus of this poem was truthful and lovely.
