If only....

If only the things could be less confusing in life,
If only I could see the people I cared bout in person,
If only best friends could stay friends,
If only people had more trust in each other.

If only money wasn't everything,
If only the girl I loved wasn't so far away,
If only I could have some freedom,
If only my parents would be less clingy.

If only those thing could happen,
but then what would be the point of trying?

    if only...thats a statement everyone has used at least a billion times!!! but honestly, i agree with the last two lines of your poem. if things could happen the way we wanted them to all the time...then what's the point of trying at anything??

    This was great!!! Even if it was ranting I loved it!!! I wish things were like this too. I hope it works out for you in the end. This was a very good write!!!! I liked it very much. Great detail and description. Good flow. Very strong emotion.
