tip tap KNOCK
the clock struck twelve,
all Hallows portals opened wide,
beyond our world with seeing eye,
I'd no more treats to give away
rising slow from cushioned seat
tiredly whispering
'who was there?'
tip tap KNOCK
reoccuring,
rattling door shook the frame,
bulging, blown by a power unseen and
gaining life with rapid speed
tip TAP KNOCK
my legs a quiver,
as a jelly shaken transfixed stared,
what could I do?
frightened,
strainings quickened,
instinctively knowing .. a single TAP and the door would be down.
TIP TAP KNOCK
splinterings burst I sucked through a vortex,
no more to be heard ..
Lucky for me t'was my worst dream but
Knock Tap Tip ? ? rides backward motions bellowing breathe....
