Dancer Sequel

My feet tap away
at the forgiving floor
heaving away
with the rhythm
of an electronic tune.

My body bends and flexes
a rubber band -
in this room of
personal discovery.

My pumped shoes
kick
and scratch
and pound at
the
possibility of
breakthrough.

Never slowing
never stopping
a beat courses through me
as I grab at invisible
invention -
a laboratory of the arts.

Ah dancing really makes you feel alive and happy. This is the feeling I got from reading your poem. I thoroughly enjoyed its happy and energetic feel. Ery nicely written. Well done.

This is good Emma! Although I don't dance, I know that a lot of people think of dance like an art and an escape and all that. This is a good poem because it's descriptive and imaginable.

    Good Job!
