Waves crash against the defenseless rocks,
the merciless wind destroying the once beautiful surroundings.
Tiny crystal-like droplets of rain,
Hurl themselves from amidst the darkening clouds.
A clap of thunder,
A fork of lightening,
The penetrating scream of the wind.
All add to the terror of the occasion.
Froth and bubbles threaten to spill,
Over the muddy banks.
As people run, helpless, afraid,
From the raging wrecking-ball that is storm.

oh yes. You have captured the essence of the storm so well in your words.
I love to sit on the shore and watch a storm as it comes in. it is beautiful yet terrifying too. Nature at its most powerful and unstoppable. I really enjoyed reading.
