The fruitful love we both once shared
Now drowning in emotional memory
A love so strong but now so shriveled up
Like an apple so pruned
Our love couldn't last
Because it soured so soon
Falling from the tree of what kept us both so strong
It rotted away what we thought we knew
But that said love, was never the sweetest fruit
