The militias, the KKK
All feel the same way
They plot every day.
To kill off another "dream"
To defer a justice, long in need
As Langston Hughes once said
"What happens to a dream deferred?"
Does it fall from the sky?
Like a wounded bird
Will we pick up our injured dream?
And bury it under six feet of green
Thirty more days to vote for change
America has much more to lose.
Than a presidential race

Very well said. It's got to be about 10 days now hasn't it?
I really liked the style, like a rhyming stream of consciousness. Even though I'm not an American, or even old enough to vote, I have great concerns over the election. Whatever happens there, affects the whole world a great deal I guess.

I hope people will indeed vote their conscience when they go into the polls. I would also hope that they accept the elected President and support him, even if they do not vote for him. We must show the world that we are united instead of divided. -

James . . . once again I thank you for speaking the raw truth . . . I feel uneasy about this election, I think Obama will get in, but I worry deeply about his safety . . . I lived through the horror of the 60's, watched Martin fall and I pray that history does not repeat itself . . .
