Frangipani blooming in the moonlight
that summer when your love soothed some wounds,
opened others, Cacalloxochitl.
How the stars burned for you the night
you smiled beside the Moorish candle,
Champa flowers bundled in your flax hair.
I love you.

This is an interesting work. Short and fits the nature of the poem. The words (Frangipani) is unfamiliar, but, english is not the only language. Images of sumer and love sooth the mind. Very mod for the seventies.

Frangipani is a flower and a scent that was popular in Victorian times and reintroduced by the hippies in the 60's and 70's. As a flower, it is used in Polynesian culture to make leis. It is used for incense and its blossoms symbolize the passage of time .
Thank you very much for your comment.
