The shining silver moonlight plays
Upon the sand, upon the sea,
It's lighting up its emerald depths
Just like a beacon, guiding me.
Yet as the burning stars rain down,
I lay quiet upon cold shore,
I close my eyes, the end is near,
I'll never see light of day more.
I've lived my life, I've had enough,
I must escape this horrid pain,
My heart will soon be washed away,
With the sweet coming of the rain.
Oh washed away, oh washed away,
Sink down, in ocean deep!
To feel Death's icy kiss at last,
Give in to soothing sleep.
