Through a childs eyes

Gumdrops and lollipops
sticky sweet summer days
splashin' in puddles of raindrops
where the heart of a child plays

wishing upon a star
innocent yet profound
whoever you want to be you are
spinning dizzily on the merry-go-round

staring at the clouds
imagine and pretend
laugh out loud
pinky swears and best friends

now its time to go to bed
deep sighs and a mommas kiss
hoping reality never floods their head
for innocense is truly bliss...

If only a child could always retain that innocence... but you're right, grownup reality steps in eventually. We can only hope their reality is one of goodness and hope.

A very nice poem, well written and great visuals
