A peaceful ode or sonnet just to keep me through the day,
Would surely keep the world at work, at least keep me away.
And if a warder would intrude, I'd chase him down to hell,
Cause no one should be laughing as I grieve because you fell.
But nor should I, remind myself, but nor should I, concede.
Am I not better than this place, and better than the greed?
Do I require fitting in? Do I require fear?
If only you could help me, I could stop the talk and hear.
I think you're changing me a bit and man, I like it too.
If I could be a better girl I'd do it all for you.
I'm sorry if I talk to much or don't know what to say,
Because I'm really trying to keep real throughout the day.
I love getting to know you and I don't want it to stop.
Author notes
I know this poem is pretty simple but I haven't written one in so long that it doesn't even matter.
