though my soul hangs in purgatory,
caught between light of love
and darkness of goodbye,
tender pleasures cling to longing
unable to let go of illusive dreams,
while solemn pleas hang hollow
unheard and fading into dead air,
we loved; as if poetry in motion
now thoughts summon memories,
seeking reprieve from the cold
I stand in the silhouette of warmth,
bartering for a liaison with time
taking us back to oneness,
where once again we ride
upon soft wings of freedom.

You captured the feeling of nastalgia well. I really liked the line: "unable to let of go illusive dreams". Thank you for entering. \♥/

Very nicely done with such a tone of reality to it...
