Our Daughter the Sleep walker..

Early Sunday morning our  eight year old daughter  Was walking donwn by the highway, . She was still in her pj's and had a jacket on and was carrying her little purse. When a couple was driving by and saw her cross the highway. they knew something was wrong so they turned around  and asked her were her parents were . She tells them we were home sleeping. Then they ask her hat she was doing? She tells them she was going shopping.

  They had her get into there vehicle and they took her to the sheriff's station. They told the officer they found her wondering the streets and crossed the highway. The officer went through her purse and found her adress book in it (luckily I had written our numbers and address in it). So the officer brings her back home . He tells her to go gets us but she no because we were sleeping. So she had her brother come and wake us up.

  He knocks on our door saying there was a sheriff here. It was 7:00 am we couldn't understand why a sheriff would be at our door. When we get to the door The officer tells us that he had just brought our daughter home. And tells us about the couple that picked her up and  were she was found. We were shocked . We couldn't believe it. The officer tells us he was just going to write it up as child wondering off.

  After the officer left we go in to talk to her. She didn't even remeber crossing the highway, or even saying she was going shopping. We were so scared we are just gald that it was a nice couple that picked her up and nothing had happened to our little girl. We know it could have been worse but thank god someone was watching over her and brought her back safely. It is a very scary thing that had happened and I pray that it don't happen again. We rushed out and bought differnt locks for the doors that she would not be able to get the doors.open.. We are just realeaved it turned out the way it did. We are very thankful to the couple and the sheriff the brought our daughter back to us.
