No curfew did he know.

  No one telling him "No".

Dinner never on the table.

  Eat where you are able.

Can't imagine what is wrong.

  All alone, no dance or song.

Trouble was his only friend.

  For defence, no one to send.

    I would use the word "fend"...

    "Disowned, no one to send.

    as the last word in this well rhymed work of poetry. It seems that the word "send" is a bit forced.

    Other than that small hiccup, this poem is stellar! Thank you for this submission in my contest. I wish you well here and in life's endeavors.
