Her ancient van produces rumbling noises.
Everything is second hand, as her life has always been.
She just yearns to move in motion, to any distance.
With the window wide open, and the wind grazing her skin.
Only thoughts of the sunrise or sunset would come to mind.
The pinkish-red soft layer that would splay upon the welcoming clouds.
And the inching transformation of the golden orange that would be crept away from our sight.
These skies above emit a happiness within her heart that it seems to beat out loud.
The many birds exhale such a beautiful sound.
They float above, drifting to wherever they must go.
She does likewise - to motor to a place so unknown.
Alone, but full of enjoyment from the nature and it’s meadow.
Just moving forth upon the gravel is enough.
Don’t even pause, don’t even think.
She passes many faces, familiar or not...
Yet, it’s not enough - only the distance can make her troubles shrink.

How fun. I love road trips. The backround reminds me of the eiffel tower but I actually dont think it is. This is such a pretty and imaginative poem. Good job!

I love this! Ugh I feel like this right now, like I want to just run away from all of my troubles. I really love this poem, and the second line is just brilliant.
