A Mother's Reflections

Missing image

Midnight's worries put to sleep,

porch light expecting his return,

musing Mom closes eyes trusting

son to higher power.

Partnership with Almighty

miraculously her solace

these years.

He knew where her

son was for the night.

Mother's love relinquishes

fretting, sighing, breathing

as sleep overtakes her.

Not one thing had she

not been through with

her son, yet always

believing for a new day.

Looking back now,

only God brought them

both through.

Only God kept both

safe for an intended

purpose!

I can remember when my eldest child, went to school on his own for the first time. I was a nervous wreck. He was confidant. I had to look like I was so, I said a silent prayer and let go.

There is excellent musing in so few words written here poet. I thank you for this entry, and I wish you well in the challenge.

    Much Love ♥

Thanks Bob, glad to see you back reading...There is a purpose to all things while we wonder at the same time sometimes...Reflecting is always easier than when we go through it...God does see all. Some would argue that and who are we to judge? Their trials they need to know we had them...and support them as we were by others...thanks again for your word of encouragement!
